Sandbach & District
Talking Newspaper is a charity that depends entirely on donations, sponsorship and fundraising, as well as the time and other
generosities of its team members. We have no official funding from any public body or charitable trust. Therefore in addition
to volunteer help, we need YOUR financial assistance too. There a number of ways to do this:

Fundraising at NO COST TO YOU!
Do you shop online? If you do, you could help us raise desparately needed
funds AT NO COST WHATSOEVER TO YOURSELF. Here's how it works.
When you decide you want to buy something online, instead of going direct
to the website of the retailer you want to buy from, go instead to the website of Easyfundraising.
There you will find a list of about 500 retailers (including all the big ones like Amazon, M&S, Debenhams, Next, Tesco,
Comet, John Lewis, Asda etc) who promise give a donation to the charity of your choice every time you buy something from
them via the Easyfundraising website.
All you need to do first on the Easyfundraising website is to register ("Register
As A User"), next choose from a list "Sandbach & District Talking Newspaper" as the charity you wish the retailer
to send their donation to ("Register A Cause") and finally, when you want to start shopping, select from the "A-Z of
Retailers" list the retailer you are interested in. You will then be re-directed to the website of your chosen retailer where
you can make your purchase safely in the normal way at the normal price. The retailer will later send us a cheque with
the donation that has resulted from your confirmed and paid purchase. You pay no extra.
On top of all this there are special offers from some retailers which are
only available to those that are registered with Easyfundraising.
So just go the Easyfundraising website and start buying. It costs
you absolutely nothing but we receive some funding that we need so badly to support our charitable activities. This couldn't
be simpler for you yet would mean so much to us:
Or here's an even easier way to help us. Instead of using
your normal search engine (e.g. Google) to find things on the web, just click on http://talkingnewspaper.easysearch.org.uk/ and use the Yahoo sponsored Easysearch search engine. For
every search you make we receive a penny!
Other fundraising ideas
If you would like to arrange
a fundraising event or even just a garage sale on our behalf, please contact Pam Johnson on 01606 833408 to confirm that we are able to accepts funds from the kind of event you have in mind.
For larger events we would consider
providing several team members to attend and in certain cases would perhaps record the event for distribution to our listeners.
Volunteers
Our charity depends on volunteers.
At the moment we have sufficient Relief Readers but we would like to hear from anyone who would be interested in training
as a Relief Technician or anyone who would be prepared to assist with tape copying.
Please contact Pam Johnson
on 01606 833408, email us at info@talkingnews.org.uk or use our response form if you would like to discuss volunteering.
If you would simply like to make
a financial donation to us, however small, please contact Pam Johnson on 01606 833408 who will be glad to assist.
Alternatively please email us at info@talkingnews.org.uk
